Double Indemnity is one of the great noirs. I do have a problem with MacMurray's performance in a few scenes, but it's a minor qualm in an otherwise impeccable film. Glad you caught up with it.
I love Double Indemnity, and am actually hoping to catch it on the big screen this summer at a local theater. I haven't seen Avanti! but maybe I'll put it on afterward!
