Last night while listening to The Demented Podcast, and their talk on trailers (which may serve as the ultimate companion piece to ours on the MILFCast except they did stuff like 'research') I got to thinking about some of my all time favorite faux movie trailers. Some are more funny than others, but I think all show a special skill for creativity and trailer design. Perhaps marketing people should hire some of these people more often?
So, without further ado, here they are:
Brokeback to the Future:
Reservoir Turtles:
Thundercats:
Toy Story 2 Requiem:
10 Things I Hate About the Commandments:
Well, there you have it ladies and gents. I hope you enjoy, and have a wonderful Sunday!
Not so sure that Back To The Future one works - but that might be because I know the films so well. The Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtles/Reservoir Dogs trailer is cool though, I like what they've done with that one.
@Jess I didn't forget, just had trouble picking from them all. Still, it is an absolute gem of a mash up.
@Cheri Thanks :)
@Sugary Shhhh, you'll give away all my secrets!
@Dan I think it works if you forget about the context of the film some. I do like the Reservoir Turtles one though, something about it just makes me giggle.
@Castor I do the tweets manually because every once in a while I like to get creative and goofy (especially for my Obligatory posts). Anything streamlined would limit that. Though when I get a job that'll definitely have to change.

You forgot the UP/Inception mashup. Great list though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uj1_ev-842c
OMG this is too much fun - tweeting it now.
I love the 10 commandments one! It was up on my blog just a few days ago.

Pretty funny ones! Hey you should set up your Twitter account to automatically tweet when you post!
Dammit, you forgot Toy Story 3: Inception! Fool!

@Simon/Sugary TS2 Requiem > TS3 Inception. :P
Nick did all the real research while I just talked out of my ass. Great list here!
That is fantastic! I'd never seen the COMMANDMENTS and RESERVOIR TURTLES ones! Fantastic!
