Capable of doing many things - check.
Competently.... well 5 out of 6 words is close enough right?
Well, while I do love myself a good meme, I have to admit I've been a bit memed out lately. Struggling to come up with an idea for the latest LAMB School (really how does anyone talk about Tom Cruise? The guy's a complete mystery!), I've sort of fallen back on reviews and my normal series. So, when I got the tag from FlixChatter yesterday I was quite ready to go thanks, but I think I'll just sit on it. But then Sugary Cynicism whipped out the tag stick, and now I feel obliged to aptly partake in the affair.
So, here we go. Rules:
- Thank the person who gave you this award
- Share 7 things about yourself
- Pass the award along to 15 who you have recently discovered and who you think fantastic for whatever reasons! (in no particular order)
- Contact the blogs you picked and let them know about the award.
1. Major thanks for Sugar and Flix (which sounds like an awesome cereal name)! We here at LiE always love to gain support from our fellow bloggers (crap I'm talking in a non-singular 3rd person), and the opportunity to gloat about our own awesomeness (BOOYAH).
2. Seven things... right, I keep doing this, but ok:
- I'm very anal about doing things the way instructions say they're supposed to be done when I'm unfamiliar with whatever it is I'm working on/doing. I know this is counter to the "guy" stereotype, but I think I'm well beyond that point now.
- As I mentioned on Twitter yesterday, I don't drink coffee. This comes as a surprise to almost every coffee drinker, who is convinced I need to drink it. They convince me of this by moaning about how awful it tastes all the time, only to tell me it's an acquired taste. Good for them, I'll stick with a bowl of cereal, and maybe a hot chocolate during winter.
- I keep debating if I should post why I chose Univarn as my all encompassing screen name. And why I chose A Life in Equinox as my blog name... but I probably never will. I enjoy a little bit of mystery in the "why" department.
- My favorite food is cheeseburgers. Every time we go to the restaurant it's my go to food, and I love it to death. Pretty soon I'll probably suffer a cheeseburger overload. But I'll always have PB&J to fall back on.
- Due to a Christmas gift naming mix up I actually own The Odd Couple II.... I am now one of 15 people in the world that do. Why didn't I turn it back in for some $? Because it was double paired with First Monday in October which I sort of enjoy.
- Perhaps it's because I was raised in the South, but I'm a huge please/thank you/excuse me/etc. kind of person. I always use them, and often... arguably too much. But I'd rather be polite than silent.
3. 15.... not going to happen. I just don't have the time! So I'll go with a few biggies that I haven't seen nominated yet!
CommonSenseMovieReviews
Life of a Cinephile and Bibliophile
MarshallandtheMovies
Film Forager
There we go. 4 is on it's way, and I'm on my way out of here! Laters all.

Oh, wow. At least I have something to do now.
As for the LAMB Acting School thing, you could just submit your review of Magnolia.
Ok, good, glad I'm not the only one who doesn't feel the need to follow all the rules of a meme, particularly when it comes to tagging other people.
And I usually incorporate these memes into my Random Factoid series, so forgive me if I don't get to it until at least Sunday. I'm keeping a Pixar theme and this would kinda break it.
But thank you very much!
oh...so that's what versatile means. Well, you're that too :D you're awesome and I want to understand how difficult it is for me to say that, as a coffee drinker :p
*you, want you to understand (maybe I need more coffee)
@movienut I could, but that would be boring!
@marshall I'll wait patiently :P.
@Sugary You know, I think it sounded better without the "you." Gave it a nice, addict twitch vibe :P
eh... I thought you weren't going to tag me anymore... ;) I almost feel like posting a big fat link to the Kreativ Blogger post in which I've already done all this (the 7 things about me stuff). Note to anyone who starts anymore of these... the 7-10 things about yourself has been done about 7-10 times! But to play along I'll post 7 things, although I'm going to spice it up a little, and in the process probably not follow any of the rules.
You should put it to a vote whether people want to know where "Univarn" comes from! I also don't drink coffee. I just never really understood the huge fascination with it. I don't hate it but I just don't usually drink any. And Cheeseburgers are delicious!
Okay, so when you say the cheeseburger is your favourite "good" is that a Freudian slip or do you mean like dry goods, perishables etc.
I did not grow up in the south...(well South America...does that count?) but I understand the thank you thing. I had to work myself off of telling furniture "sorry" when I bumped into them.
@MVP Sorry, didn't want it to seem like I was tagging nobody. And go for it, do it your own way :P
@Castor Maybe I will. I dislike the taste of coffee (yes I have tried it before), but I don't hate it, or really think much of it. To me it's an unnecessary expense that I can counter by just being a morning person.
@Andrew To answer your question I'll say this: If I was allowed one "luxury" on a deserted island (except for me of course) I would request the method, supplies, and means for making cheeseburgers :).
Oh, I don't do it (much) to inanimate objects but I am a compulsive "excuse me, I'm sorry" (with a sympathetic tone mind you) to other people.
Coffee is super gross. Blech.
And thanks for the commendation! I might skip this though since as AnswerMVP mentioned, I've basically already done it with the Kreativ one. Plus am I really that versatile? For the most part I only write straight-up movie reviews!
I absolutely hated coffee at first, but I have to admit it IS one of those acquired taste. Though I have to admit, I don't like black coffee all that much. I had a crap-ton of creamer and sweetner to it, as well as one cube of ice. If I HAVE to drink black coffee, like this past winter when I was snowed inside another family's house for three days, coffee was our crack. And I'm not the type of guy to ask for stuff to add to drinks, let alone take the drink in the first place.
I'm almost 30 and have had two sips of coffee my entire life. I can't stand it either.
I didn't eat a cheeseburger until I was in college, my junior year.
Being from the South as well, I also use the politeness words/phrases on a regular basis, even if I don't really mean them.
@Alex I felt the same way, but I'm sure I'll always have 7 things to reveal about myself.
@Red At some point you've got to be adding so much stuff to coffee just to make it taste good you'd be better off just drinking Hot Chocolate. Sure there's no caffeine, but you don't really need it.
@Rachel An argument could be made that my entire college life was fueled by cheeseburgers and Pb&J
