Obligatory Weekend Movie Post #29

You've been waiting all year. You've marked your calenders, planned your schedule, and organized your film watching community. And, after such a long wait, it's finally here:

Babies, the documentary! What? That isn't the movie you're going to see this weekend? ......I didn't think anything else was going out o.O.

Wide Releases:

Iron Man 2: Here's my two cents to any fanboys who read this: Change your undies, calm down, and relax. It's not the end of the world if this doesn't live up to your overblown expectations. It's ok if the film is just fine. So please, try to not self implode during the opening credit sequence. Thank You - Ryan.

Limited Release:

Babies: What? You thought I was making it up? Well, getting the 500ish theater toss Babies is the latest documentary from Thomas Balmes, who has done nothing I've heard of. So, if that's your thing go for it.

Badmaash Company: A hindi film getting the 50 theater slide. Judging from cast pictures I've seen, I'm putting this in the "yeah..... how about no" category. I somehow imagine this getting remade with Paul Walker, and anytime I can see a movie like that, my motto is: stay away.

You can check out a schedule, here, for all the weekends limited (and wide) releases. But, to be honest the sheer number of "never heard of it" releases this weekend are an all time high for me.

Good luck!

The trailer for the Babies movie sickens me, and not just because I don't like children. It's because it looks extremely boring and pointless, but every single person in the theater will be ooing and awwwing the entire time just by the mere fact that there are babies onscreen. Ugh. It's just a cheap trick. Plus the tagline is offensively presumptuous- No, BABIES MOVIE, everyone does NOT love babies!

Anyway, yay Iron Man! I'll try to keep the pants-wetting to a minimum.

You never heard of "Mother & Child"? Annette Bening, Naomi Watts, Samuel Jackson? Tsk Tsk. Oh well, off to Iron Man...

@Alex I like Babies... at a distance.

@MVP Well, as long as you keep a spare, I suppose it's ok.

@Andrew Nope, not one word about it.
