Obligatory Weekend Movie Post #25

What happens when super ninjas of doom team up with alien camels?

Well, you get one hell of a movie, that's what!!!! But nooooo, nobody wants to make my movie. Instead we get a bunch of other bland, uninspired, material. And I have to say I've just about had enough!

Dear Hollywood, I WANT MY SUPER NINJAS AND ALIEN CAMELS NOW!

Sincerely yours,

Uni.

p.s. Is it too much to ask for a leprechaun musical as well?

Wide Releases:

Date Night: Steve Carell and Tina Fey. You know, this may be the first time in a while I've seen a couple in a Hollywood film, I don't have to stretch my imagination to buy into. Way to go Hollywood for the pairing. Now, I wonder, if they can pull it off. Despite some great work here and there, both have a tendency to waddle in mediocrity for long periods of time. Let me know everyone!

Letters to God: Greg Kinnear in this? No? It's not a sequel to Dear God!? WHAT!? This is some Bull. I'm calling for a boycott! Whose with me!?

Limited Release:

The Square: My plan: To combine the films The Square and The Box. Combine them with Cube. And create the most complex Geometrical film ever!!!! I lay claim to this victory now.

After.Life: Ok, so. Christina Ricci's a ghost. Liam Neeson is a mortician who can talk to her. And Justin Long is happy to be getting work. I think I summed that up about right, anything I'm missing?

Really, not a lot coming out this week. I recommend if you haven't seen How to Train Your Dragon already, just go ahead and do that instead.

Looking forward to Date Night although both seem to be doing what they usually do anyway

My prediction is that Date Night is going to do big this weekend (box-office wise). I'm going to check it out when it comes out on DVD though.

@Castor Good luck!

@MVP The Losers looks like a late night DVD rental. I'm with yah on Iron Man 2 and Robin Hood. Have to look up Next Three Days, haven't heard of it.

@Dreher Thanks for commenting. It had a good friday night ($9.3mil), so I won't go doubting you there. But, yeah it does look like a DVD rental too me.
