Obligatory Weekend Movie Post #23

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'RE BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

Did you miss me? Did yah? Did yah!!!? Oh, admit it. Without your Obligatory post segments on tuesday and friday you were lost in a sea of despair! You didn't know what was up and what was down. You desperately clung to other posts, but none would suffice. Because, after all, what would the world be like without Captain Uni! (reference there, +2 respect points if you can guess it!)

Wide Releases:

How to Train Your Dragon: I'll take Craig Ferguson is an awesome, sexy, beast for $500 Alex! What? This movie's animated!? Son of a ******!!!!!!! All that Scottishness and they had to animate it? *cries* Fine, be that way. Still, the commercials have taught me one truly valuable thing: Only adults have Scottish accents, all kids have American ones. And let that be a lesson to yah!

Hot Tub Time Machine: I wonder if the casting call for this film went something like: Seeking 3 middle aged men who can make John Cusack look incredibly sexy by comparison. It's not like the Cusackinator needed their help, the man's just great (and because of High Fidelity he always will be). Still, the movie manages to look enjoyable, if not cliche ridden.

Limited Releases:

Greenberg: Ben Stiller's a guy, and he doesn't do things for two hours, and there's some quasi-moral undertone, riddled with generic, grumpy man dialogue. From all the reviews I've read, that's what I've gotten. Sounds like a real winner to me. I'll get right on watching it.

Chloe: Amanda Seyfreid as an escort? Say no more, I'm way ahead of you.... Oh yeah Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson are in this too... Wait, did I read lesbian sex between Moore and Seyfreid.... oh this is going to be a 2AM rental I imagine. *cough cough*

What better way to end an Obligatory comeback than with an obligatory sexual, self-gratifying (hehe), joke? Well, to be honest, lots of better ways. But, hey, if you were looking for better, you wouldn't be here!

:P

When people get so excited about a film call "Hot Tub Time Machine" I realize the dumbing down of America is officially dumbed down to the max.

I just saw it, and it's perfectly fine, in a stupid way.
