Obligatory DVD Post?

What? Ryan doing an Obligatory DVD Post for no apparent reason? Shush you! I'll deal with you later :P.

So, yeah, I decided with all the releases this week it was time for me to do a post about the DVD releases this week (and my god there are a lot).

New Releases:

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra: Or as this movie shall be called from here on out - G.I. Joe: The Legend of Curly's Gold. But Ryan, that title makes no sense! Yeah... neither does this movie. Oh, and it has awful acting though (might be perfect for the kiddies).

I Love You, Beth Cooper: A movie nobody wanted to see coming to dvd. Lonley men rejoice, just please do us all a favor and close the blinds when you watch this movie, we get it you have a sick fascination with Hayden Panettiere... just leave the rest of us out of it.

The Taking of Pelham 123: You know if you were to take out John Travolta and replace him with... let's say Robert Shaw. Then take out Denzel Washington and maybe go with someone more along the lines of a Walter Matthau. Get Joseph Sargent to direct and Peter Stone to write a script you might have a great film... oh wait, they already did that? Oops.

Aliens in the Attic: Were you one of the 10 people who watched this when it went to theater? Were there even that many? Hmmm.

Food Inc.: So, another film in a long line of films as of late showing everyone just how sick the food industry has become? I'm sure it's a fine film but it's retreading tired ground, the people who will watch this are not the ones that need convincing of the need for change.

Oldies But Goodies

Wings of Desire: Criterion finally releases their DVD for this 1987 German film I've been wanting to see for a long time... took them long enough :P. It's ok Criterion, I love you anyways.

Forrest Gump: That's right Gumpaholics your Gump Blu-Ray fix is finally upon you, run out now and get your shrimping on! Ok, I'll admit, I love this movie :).

North By Northwest: The classic Hitchcock thriller starring Cary Grant comes to Blu-Ray land!? Ugh, one of these days I'm going to have to buy a Blu-Ray player... but then I'll need a Blu-Ray usable TV, ugh no money *tear*.

Did Someone Say More Money?

Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut - So we've had The Director's Cut, now we have the Ultimate Cut (which clocks in at about 3 hours and 25 minutes). What this is, is the Director's Cut with Tales of the Black Freighter spliced in. Someone's really trying to milk this movie's potential cult following for everything they can get (note: I'll probably buy the Director's Cut when I can hehe).

Also:

Spin City Season 3 and some movie called Not Forgotten that I just rented because Paz Vega was in it.

Good idea! Though I'd be tempted to throw in a little something about which you'd buy/rent/skip etc.

Keep it coming - features make the world go 'round.

@Answer good point, I used to love watching Spin City on FX when I came home from school. Let me know how Not Forgotten is, Paz Vega is always worth a look.

@Mad I may have to try that, though I tend to avoid that though in favor of just watching it and reviewing it anyways.

Hayden P. Gross...Univarn. That did not need to be said.

@ Univarn... The other thing you could do (which I used to do) is if it's something you already reviewed, put a link back to your review post of the film.

@Andrew hehe feeling bashful are we?

@Mad Aye, I did that as an after thought at the bottom, may throw it in there with my stupid comments next time.
