Dr. Samuel Loomis: "I met him, fifteen years ago. I was told there was nothing left. No reason, no conscience, no understanding; even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong. I met this six-year-old child, with this blank, pale, emotionless face and, the blackest eyes... the *devil's* eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply... *evil*."
You know you love that. I mean who can't? Samuel Loomis is among the most awesome characters in film history. If only his reign had ended with Halloween 2 as it was intended, but alas they had to make a 4,5, and 6, and Donald Pleasence was all too happy to oblige for whatever reason. Oh well, Pleasence is amazing in this role, and is so incredibly awesome as the demented and consumed arch nemesis to Michael Myers. I really can't think of a character that I've probably overhyped more over the past few years but everything he does in Carpenter's '78 classic I love. Somehow I always managed this is how I would turn out on some level (kind of disturbing eh?).
Anyways I just watched this movie again recently and decided Dr. Loomis needed his own post entirely. Oh, and by the way, Malcolm McDowell, you're no Donald Pleasence so back off already! (though I don't blame you)! :D We done.

Are you aware that the name of Sam Loomis is from another classic horror movie?
@MovieNut yep it's in reference to the character in Psycho, but I'll always remember the name from Halloween :)
