If You Could Go Back....
What if someone came up to you today and offered you an opportunity unlike any other you'd ever experience. The opportunity to see one film you've already seen for the first time all over again. Your memory would be wiped clean (for the time being - nothing permanent), you'd get the perfect seat in the theater, and you'd be immersed into that world with fresh and clean eyes. What would movie would you choose? Would it be one of your all time favorites? Maybe a movie that warped your perception of cinema a bit, and now you'd like a do-over. Heck, if you really wanted to take it the full nine yards you could pick a movie you hated the first time but like now. Or a movie you hate now but liked the first time you saw it. Your entire viewing catalog is at your disposal.
So I ask - what film would you choose to go back and watch again for the first time? Pick wisely, you only get one.

Can I say the entire LOTR trilogy? It was so big in scope, so vivid and real, and damn near perfect. Watching that masterpiece unfold again would be cool.
Fight Club. I watched it pretty early, and have recommended it to quite a few people. And they come back to me blown away. I wanna feel that again.
I would love to watch "The Sixth Sense" for the 1st time again.
Also have to agree with Alex on LOTR also! So epic!
The Usual Suspects, it was brilliant, one of the best screenplays of all time. Of Course, LOTR too.
The Shawshank Redemption ... such a beautiful film ... I'd love to see it again, for the first time.
I'm going to go with Star Wars. I would have loved to have been there opening day without knowing a single thing about it. I don't think it's possible now to see that movie and not know at least something ahead of time.
It would be nice to get mind-blown by The Sixth Sense again too, though.
I'm going to kinda cheat on mine and say I wish I hadn't seen the Director's Cut of Alien and that I could wipe my memory of it and see Alien the theatrical cut for the first time instead. Every time I see Alien, I wonder why I never loved it the first time and then I remember the dumb scenes from The Director's Cut.
I will always regret missing Saving Private Ryan in theater. That's the one I would want to get back.
I have to go with The Usual Suspects. I've very specifically used that phrase- I wish I could go back and see it again for the first time- about that movie so many times.
I'm with Wes - Star Wars all the way. I watched it so many times as - well, practically an infant, I'd imagine - that I have no recollection whatsoever of my first time seeing it. I'd like to cue that bad boy up on an IMAX screen and enter the theater knowing as little as possible.
Varn - you haven't replied to these...was your choice The Sixth Sense, then?
@Dylan Aye, it was. I haven't replied to comments much lately. Nor have I been commenting much lately for that matter. Working to remedy that, but busy has been the overbearing taker of my schedule.
Not giving ya trouble (my Google Reader has 200+ posts for me to read/comment on right now), just curious.
Thanks for answerin' - tis of course an excellent choice.
