Today is Labor Day. The day Americans all across the country rise up, and in one fell swoop, do absolutely no labor. Unless of course you count the mild laboring required to walk to the car, and drive it to their favorite fast food place. Where a teen, or disgruntled middle aged employee, will happily take their order, ignoring the irony of the entire event. Ah, you gotta love stupid holidays, don't yah?
Don't get me wrong though, I love having a reason to do my usual nothing.
For your Consideration:
Some controversy never hurt anyone. Unless of course your controversy involves Nazis, S&M, and a dog named Libido. Of course, it could all be a misunderstanding! Links, are kind of the same way....
Common Sense Movie Reviews has brought out the 10/10 in honor of Kingdom of Heaven - Director's Cut. Can he sell you on its esteemed merits?
Did Mike of You Talking to Me? really put The Box and Kubrickian Masterpiece in the same sentence? You bet your sweet ass he did!
Sugary Cynicism gives you the low down on why Daniel Day Lewis, and his role in Gangs of New York, is just awesome. Mustache's unite!?
The pitch is on over at Anomalous Material. The draft is done, and its time for bloggers to sell you on their films. Which are you buying and which are you waiting for a 2am cable spree?
And, of course, last, but certainly not least, the 30 Days of Crazy are just warming up, over at Blog Cabins. Crazy is as crazy does. And that's why I'm a leprechaun.
Poll Update:
Are you not entertained? Perhaps I should go back to doing silly stuff. Then again, who has time for that?
Results:
1. 7 votes: 1 - 3 movies (slackers!)
2. 5 votes: 4 - 6 movies (this is about me, depending on my mood)
3. 2 votes: 7 - 9 movies (you know, we're not counting porn....)
4. 1 vote: 10+ movies (my god, the sun! noooooooooooooooo!)
New Poll: Resident Evil Afterlife is coming soon! I know I know, I can hear your cheers from way over here. My question for this week: How do you feel about the Resident Evil series as a whole?
Apology of the Week:
I would just like to say: I know I haven't been commenting much as of late. Vacations, stress of unemployment, and the desire to seclude myself in reading and movie watching has lead me a bit away from the blogging scene. I do hope to return this fall more into my usual form of reading, and commenting, all your posts. Though I do apologize if I miss far more than I should!
Enjoy Labor Day my fellow Americans. And to the rest of you, who don't celebrate this day, why not do nothing anyways?

Sad thing, those who truly labor - eg minimum wage/retail/restuarant work - are all laboring today!
Resident Evil is all right. Probably one of the better video game to movie(s) although not one I rush out to see.
Thanks for the link! I can definitely see that overall activity is down throughout the blogosphere but it's still summer so let's enjoy the great weather and keep the blogging fun for the rainy days of fall and snowy days of winter ;)
Aw don't worry about being less frequent around the blogosphere! Unemployment stress is a powerful thing and I had similar issues of just wanting to dive into books/movies so I wouldn't have to think about it. You will pull through! If I can, you can!
Thanks for the link! Also, yeah what with school starting up and all (I know you're done with that, old timer) things have noticeably slowed down interweb-wise most everywhere. And unemployment sucks. (checks wallet, moths emerge)
MUSTACHES UNITE!
Labor day is all well and good if I didn't have to start school tomorrow. Fucking tenth grade, man. What good is turning sixteen these days, anyway? They don't even give you lollipops anymore.
GAH!!! WHERE THE HELL DID SUMMER VACATION GO?!! *gets slapped in face* Thanks, I needed that.
@Simon Tenth grade isn't so bad. It's eleventh grade you should worry about. That's when they pile on the work.
Ha, your link to my post literally made me laugh. Thanks for that.
I thought you were a 4,000 year old alien?
post is very awesome :)
