You know what this blog needs... (a better writer?), it needs a certain charm (literacy), a certain appeal (less fat?), a certain, I dunno, mainstay (you always have me!).
That's it... it needs a band! (oh, crap)
Someone to sing Monday Monday on an infinite loop (god, please don't). Laughing at my jokes (someone has too). Reminding me constantly just how awesome I am (job requirements: dishonesty).
Then, if I get a band I change my blog name to The Late Blog with Univarn! Post everything at midnight (might as well, nobody's reading anyways). Do some witty banter (it'd be a first). And then, when all else is done, interview important people (aka: imaginary friends).
For your Consideration:
Thy linkage cometh, that right soon:
The Ludovico Technique has already seen the newest Robin Hood adventure from Crowe and Scott, early verdict: all is not well in Sherwood.
Life of a Cinephile and Bibliophile is hitting you with another meme. This time she wants you to answer 7 specific movie questions. Get over there and see if you're tagged!
After the success of 23 Days of Kurosawa, a few others (thanks to MovieNut14's twitter insistence), have taken up the reigns. Julian Stark from Movies and Other Things has just kicked off his 23 Days of Robert Downey Jr., be sure to head over there and support.
Dark of the Matinee has seen the much discussed The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I'm still a bit weary, but we'll see what happens.
Anomalous Material is back with another heavy hitter question: Are Actors Overpaid? My answer: yes, they should give me all the money :).
Poll Update:
Violence in movies. Touchy subject. Thank you all for the voting!
Results:
1. 11 votes: Generally OK (this is me here as well, not too much, and we're all good).
2. 7 votes: Overused (I would say it is a crutch for too many weak plot films).
3. 6 votes: Perfectly Fine (about the same as Generally OK, made more sense when I thought of it)
4. 2 votes: Not my cup of tea (late voters, but honest ones, ++)
New Poll: Nightmare on Elm Street is coming out this week. So I want to know, how do you honestly feel about the horror genre? We all know there's countless blogs dedicated to it.

I must admit I'm kind of mortified by the outcome of your poll, Uni. Has this world gone totally mindless, when Me and Me again are the only ones who said VIOLENCE IS BAD IN MOVIES!
You should all join Charlton Heston's fan clubs and organizations!
Oh, what, nothing for me? I thought we had something special!
I kid. Kinda.
@Dezmond it's america, what'd you expect?
@Simon Sorry! I follow 100+ blogs, I can't remember every post I mean to link too. I'll be sure to link to yah early next time :)
Nice use of parentheses there, kiddo.
Also I don't think your podcast has been on itunes lately anyway, at least the new episodes weren't showing up for me when I was subscribed (now I just listen on your site itself). Just letting you know.
Thanks for the mention. Two actually! Apparently a few of the bloggers I invited to take part in it were a little confused on the premise. Next meme I do, I'm disabling the comments.
Thanks for the link chief.
@movienut14 no problem. Yeah, mine will be up tomorrow :). Perhaps do the explanation bit anyways. Also be sure to give it a few months. If you do it too often then people will get worn out and peeved.
@Castor Chief? I like that nickname, I'm keeping it.
