Remember Remember

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of* no reason
Why the Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, t'was his intent
To blow up the King and Parli'ment.
Three-score barrels of powder below
To prove old England's overthrow;
By God's providence he was catch'd (or by God's mercy*)
With a dark lantern and burning match.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, let the bells ring. (Holla*)
Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!

Ok, so while I may not be British, or possess any ancestry there of, I love the movie V for Vendetta, a movie that made a criminal amount less than it should have. Such a fun, heartfelt, and yet over the top action film, a definite must watch tonight. Is it just another reason for me to see Natalie Portman? Maybe, or maybe I just really love the movie :P.

One of my favourite TV mini series is actually "The Gunpowder Treason and Plot", but it has nothing to do with Vendetta of course :))
It's a BBC's project, amazing cast and amazing soundtrack as well.
You should check it out if you like historical stories.
