The latest poster (Hollywood-Spy) for the upcoming film Sherlock Holmes, directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr., is not a bad poster. It's a bit cheesy but it's a PG-13 film so they all are.
Alas though it was all ruined for me when I read the tagline:
"Holmes for the Holiday"
After reading that I died a little inside. Who approved/wrote that? They should be fired... rehired... and fired again (and then rehired because I don't want to be mean). That's horrible, I really just can't believe it. It makes my head explode how awful of a tagline it is. Their other taglines of the single character + obscure statement kind of relating to them style (ala recent Graphic Novel to Screen adaptations) weren't creative, but they weren't annoying. That tagline there just makes me feel depressed... I can't go on, it's just that incredibly awful.
What do you all think about it?

Wow. That tagline sucks out loud.
Watched Guy's RockNRolla the other night.....gotta say, not too bad. Enjoyed it more than anything he's done in a long while.
Wilkinson should be in every movie.
Rachel McAdams needs to be on that poster.
you don't think Robert Downey Jr represents a suitable festive figure??? I'm shocked :))))))))
I like Jude Law on the poster, he totally steals the spotlight.
