Monday Corner 9/28/2009
Monday Corner is back and better than... well it was a week ago! Funnier, Faster, Stronger, whip out your comment sticks, it's reading time!
Life in Equinox Update:
Sadly this is going to be a very slow week for me, journal wise. I've got 2 exams, and several homework assignments due so I'll be in a bit of social isolation for that time. No worries though I'll keep on chugging along with my top 100 when time permits, just expect only about one to two posts a day...
Also I'll be doing a bit of a Samurai marathon as I work through the films on this list that I've never seen before. At the same time keep an eye out for my review of Transformers 2 next weekend (hopefully).
I hope you read my review of Surrogates this weekend as well, I think I did a good job, but then again usually when I think that I'm wrong.

Poll Results:
Not too bad in the poll voting department, could have been better, but then again I know this past week's question was a rather weak one.
Results -
1) Several Times a Day (6 votes)
2) Once a Day (3 votes)
3) (Tie) Once a Week, Once a Month, Never (0 votes)
This weeks question, in keeping with the release of Michael Moore's new documentary: How often do you agree with Michael Moore?
You've got one week to decide, get those votes in!
Random Topics From a Random Mind
- I've decided that instead of taking the time to learn about politics, philosophy, and religion, I'm going to instead just yell Why do you Hate America!? whenever someone disagrees with me. Already used it on Grey's Anatomy lovers (*aka Andrew*)... going to test it out globally tomorrow :D.
- I feel bad for Nathan Fillion, possibly one of the most charming and fun guys to watch in front of the camera, but even with a show that averages 8million viewers on ABC at 10pm on Monday, it's still heavily tipped for a non-renewal. The guy can't catch a break, and he's earned one.
- Did you know that if you watch Melrose Place and 90210 every week your IQ will drop 2 points a month? Be sure you keep that in mind next time you're debating what to watch.
- I never knew Jason Schwartzman was the son of actress Talia Shire (Rocky, The Godfather)... I was shocked to find that out... makes sense now that I know it though.
- I've been trying to come up with a catchy motto for my website, I've narrowed it down to three - let me know which one you like:
1) A Life in Equinox: Yeah, I can't believe you're reading it either.
2) A Life in Equinox: You LiE!
3) A Life in Equinox: In the time you've spent loading this webpage you could have been saving money on car insurance.
Last one's a bit long, oh well! You got any suggestions?
We now return you to your regularly schedule blog reading.

How about this slogan:
"Forget what those other 25 film blogs say, this is what matters..."
Good luck on your exams!
OMG Jason is Talia's son???
They do look alike, when you think about it.
I don't know why most people are shocked to discover that Bryce Dallas Howard is Ron Howard's daughter. Maybe they think she's too pretty to be his descendant?
@Mad that could work... my old blog name back on RT was: The #1 review journal for people who don't read #1 review journals.
it was a bit long :)
